A week is a perfect amount of time to explore Mombasa and its environs. Check out this 7-day itinerary so that you can make the most out of your adventure of a lifetime in Kenya. Experience the soft white sandy beaches and the warm Indian Ocean. Embrace the simplicity and serenity of the beach life.
Day 1: Arrival Day.
Arrive Mombasa via train or airplane, Our Fly High Agency Safaris representative will pick you and transfer you to Serena Beach Hotel for check in. Acquainted with the City and stroll through the Old Town to get a feel for the city. Leave for afternoon excursions own arrangement to have some stunning views of the city.
Back in the evening for dinner and overnight at Serena Beach Resort or similar on (Half Board)
Day 2: Local Culture.
Start your day off with a trip to Fort Jesus, the City’s largest museum and attraction. Built in 1593 by the Portuguese, this storied Fort now has daily tours that offer a glimpse into prison cells and torture rooms for slaves before they were traded. The adjoining museum gives a nice overview of the Fort’s role throughout the city’s history. Enjoy lunch and head over to Old Town to walk through Mombasa’s varied architecture, which tells the stories of its history with its strong European, Arab and African influences.
Back to the Serena Beach Resort for overnight on (Half Board)
Day 3: Beach Day.
Hit one of the local beaches and enjoy a day of fun in the sun. Both Bamburi Beach and Nyali Beach are within a short distance from Mombasa, and are the best beaches in the area. Relax on the beach and soak up some sun or spend your day enjoying some of the water sports available such as snorkeling, scuba diving and water skiing. You can have your lunch near the beaches at one of the many cafes’ and street stands. Make sure you are back before sunset to enjoy spectacular sunset and sundowners on the beach.

Day 4: Safari Day Trip
Use this day to go on safari and see close up the breathtaking African wildlife. Located within easy driving distance for a day trip, both the Shimba Hills National Reserve and the Tsavo East and West National Park have large wildlife communities of elephants, leopards, lions and giraffes. No trip to Kenya is complete without a wildlife excursion and this should not be Amissed.

Day 5: Culture and Beach.
Head North to Malindi today and combine a day of Culture with the Beach. Check out the Gedi Ruins just south of Malindi, where you can stop and see the ancient lost civilization’s ruins. Then head to the Malindi beach to spend some time snorkeling on the beautiful reefs here. Book a trip to the Malindi Marine Park to enjoy some amazing views of ocean life.
Dinner and overnight at Sandies Malindi Dream Garden on (Half Board).
Day 6: Shopping and Beach.
Spend some time at the shops where you can find many traditional handicrafts like woven baskets, carvings and clothing. Return to one of your favorite beaches in the afternoon for a final swim, snorkel or just a relaxing afternoon.
Dinner and overnight at Sandies Malindi Dream Garden on (Half Board).
Day 7: Return Home.
After breakfast drive back to Mombasa and transfer to the Airport or Train Station to connect for your flight/train back home.
