Tour Highlights
Day 1:Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve
Arrival
Day 2:Masai Mara National Reserve
Today you can go on a full-day game drive in the Masai Mara with a picnic lunch. The reserve is well known for its black-maned lion and abundant resident wildlife. It is one of the few places where it's possible to see the “Big Five” during a morning game drive. Many of the cheetahs are so tame they seek shelter from the hot sun under vehicles, and several even climb onto roofs to get better views of prospective prey! For the bird enthusiast, almost 500 species have been recorded here, including 16 eagle species, many hawks and falcons, six vulture species, eight stork species, four bustard species (including the Kori bustard, the world's heaviest flying bird), and nine sunbird species.Overnight at Sarova Mara Game Camp on full board https://www.sarovahotels.com/maracamp-masai-mara/
Day 3:Masai Mara National Reserve - Lake Nakuru National Park
You will be picked up early in the morning and then drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Known all over the world for its flamingoes and alkaline lake, this park is considered one of the natural wonders of the world. Lake Nakuru is also rhino sanctuary, harboring a population of over 40 black and over 60 white rhinos. It's the flamingoes that have always been the main attraction here though. At times there may be almost two million flamingoes in residence, forming a stunningly beautiful deep pink band around the lakeshore.
You'll arrive in time for lunch and then go on an afternoon game drive. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge the campsite or lodge on full board.https://www.sarovahotels.com/lionhill-nakuru
Day 4:Lake Nakuru National Park - Lake Naivasha National Park
Today we’ll take an early morning drive to Lake Naivasha, the highest and the most beautiful of the Rift Valley lakes. At 1910m (6200f), the water is fresh and fringed with dense clumps of papyrus (ancient Egyptians once used this to make paper). Kingfishers use the papyrus as a perch and herons hide in it while searching for food. Naivasha is yet another area popular for bird watching (over 400 species have been recorded). It is also a favorite weekend retreat for Nairobi residents, who come here to sail, fish, and water ski. There are no crocodiles in the lake as the water is too cold for them, but there are a number of hippos due to the altitude. Along the lakeshore, vineyards produce grapes for the country's fledgling wine industry.Overnight at Enashipai Resort & Spa on full board. https://www.enashipai.com/
Day 5:Lake Naivasha National Park - Nairobi
After breakfast, you will exit the park en route back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you can spend the day partaking in optional activities (depending on your flight schedule). Later, we will transfer you to the airport or your hotel.
